Important Jr. Intermountain Cup announcement

Hello Everyone,

It is with excitement Park City Ski and Snowboard is welcoming you to Park City Mountain next week for the final JR. Intermountain Cup / U14 Qualifying Series of 2021. The conditions at Eagle Race Arena are currently the best we have seen all season so with a little help from mother nature it should carry on forward through this series.

To help ensure smooth and successful races we ask for everyones prompt attention and support of our COVID-19 protocols. The safety of our guests and membership is priority, hence why everyones adherence to the following protocols is of outmost importance.

  • No spectators are allowed inside/near the race venue. This means only registered/pre-screened athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers are allowed inside the race venue and base area.
  • The athletes will have an allocated area at the base of the Eagle lift for their gear. Any unattended bags or other gear left outside of this area are at risk of being removed from the premises. The bag area is not an hangout area for the athletes! There is ample room for athletes and staff to safely spread out below the finish corral. We will not allow team tents or other items that may promote congregation.
  • Face coverings must be worn on the mountain at all times. Athletes are allowed to pull down their face cover as they enter the start gate but it must remain on until that point – and it must go back up before they exit the finish corral.
  • We recommend that the athletes pack a lunch/snacks. Most restaurants at PCM require a reservation for service.
  • Athletes and staff should do their best to socially distance at all times and maintain a minimum distance of 6’ to others. This include the areas on the venue where coaches typically tend to congregate.
  • All coaches, officials and volunteers will be wearing an armband for easier identification of who’s allowed inside the venue.
  • PCSS will use volunteers to help ensure COVID-19 protocols are being met. Please treat them with the respect they deserve, they are there for everyone’s safety.
  • Athletes and staff should avoid riding the chairlift with persons other than their respective team.
  • In addition to Park City Mountain protocols – US Ski and Snowboard race protocols should be followed.
  • If we cannot satisfy the safety protocols and our contractual duty to Park City Mountain the races will be placed on hold and/or canceled if problems persist.
